What are Flash SMS?

A Flash SMS appears directly on the phone's screen, instead of the 'Inbox'.
It catches the recipients attention immediately.

Works for non compatible handset also.

How to Flash Message?

To send a flash SMS, compose a SMS with these contents:


Flash [recipient number] [message]


and sent it to 58243.

The recipient will receive the flash SMS on his screen. The flash SMS will appear directly on the recipients screen, and not in the 'Inbox'.



Send Blinking Message

To send a flash SMS, compose a SMS with these contents:




Flash [recipient number] [message]


You can make the entire or only certain parts of the message blink. Simply enclose the blinking parts within "<" and ">".



For instance, if you wanted to send a blinking flash SMS to , saying "How are you ?", with the word "" blinking.
You should type:


flash How are you ?


The mobile operators charge the sender the cost of a normal SMS. There is no additional charge for sending a Flash SMS. (this service is currently supported by vodafone). Recipient may be on any network.
